Aggressive strategy

Aggressive player starts game as a first player. In spite of combination from  conservative approach he is allowed to use:
  • Every pair of cards
  • Every two picture cards
  • Ace-x cards
  • So called suited connectors.

The aggressive player doe not have to pay so much attention to his position by the table.

The aggressive player:

  1. takes part in many deals
  2. is able to win much more pots than a conservative player
  3. plays in a way, which is hardly predictable
  4. Besides, it is difficult to guess, how much an aggressive player likes the Flop.

However, there are also some disadvantages of aggressive style:

  •  aggressive player hast to make risky decisions
  • by taking part in many deals, he may meet some stronger opponent
  • his number of stack is not stabile

In the theory of play, aggressive style is not considered worse than conservative style. However, it requires a lot of experience. If you are the aggressive player, you should consider what cards your opponent might have by the Flop. Is it worth for you to bluff? Should you play a "call" now and a "bet" later, or on the contrary? Usually some new players try to play aggressive from the very beginning. Unfortunately, playing like that they loose their whole stacks.

Some experienced players can exactly predict next steps of his opponents. Besides, they know when a right time to "raise" or "pass" is. If the aggressive approach seems to be too complicated for you, you should try something new and switch to super- aggressive game.
