Tom 'Durrrr' Dwan

Tom 'Durrrr' Dwan challenged the poker world few years ago. This famous on-line poker star proposed in the Bluff Magazine following rules for playing poker:

* heads-up online...

* four or even more tables playing simultaneously

* in NL holdem or PL Omaha by blinds $200/$400...

* around 50.000 deals.

"I bet my $1,500,000 against $500,000 of a person, who takes the challenge"– Dwan said - "it means that if my opponent wins at least one dollar from me, after 50 cards have been dealt, I will have to give him $1,500,000. If I have one dollar more, I'll get from him $500,000."

Asked for his motivation for playing under such risky conditions Tom answers: "I played online for the biggest stakes with the best players in the world. However, it happened very seldom that one of them was playing two tables at the same time. I think it is interesting to try something new. When you play 50 times four tables simultaneously you can eliminate the randomness of the game, so that players' skills and not the randomness are the only factor relevant for the winning."

However, the reality seems not to be like in Tom's words. Durrrr goes namely from the assumption that he is the best poker player in the world and multi-table game can only better his chances for the winning. He thinks he is able to win even more than the half a million that lies in the stake. Is it not to extreme assumption? It turns out in a minute when other great players will anticipate the game. Among them, you can find great names like David Benyamine, Phil Ivey, and Patrik Antonius. It is going to be exciting.
