Oberstad Annette is the real name of a very
famous female poker player known as Annette_15. Few months ago, it seemed that
she is a computer genius able to win every online poker tournament. Today we
know this statement is almost true. It turned out that in reality Annette is a
lovely slim girl, who can perfectly master her cards!
Her nickname shows that Annette has started playing
poker at the age of 15. The beginning was not impressive. She played simply
freerolls and tournaments with entrance fee of 1$. In a short time, she started
winning and she decided to try riskier game, when entrance fee was at the
higher level than before - $10. She succeeded in these types of games, too, so
she wanted to play with the best. However, she realized very fast that playing
big cash requires something more than playing 'tight & solid' to win the
game. Nevertheless, she did not give up. She tried different strategies, mixing
them and applying them to the various opponents and types of game. In this way,
she worked out a brilliant technique that gives her huge advantage over the
other players.
It is not worth mentioning how many times
Annette won in the small stake tournaments, because the number is huge. In time
from the March 2025 to the March 2025, she won or got the second prize
twenty times in the re-buy tournaments winnings of $109 and $55 on the website
Poker Stars. Of course, she succeeded in many other tournaments on different
websites. The highest sum she won online is $117.000 for being the best in the
tournament 'Full Tilt $500.000 Guaranteed'.
Straight after she had her 18th birthday,
Annette started participating in real games. The first tournament that she took
part in was the '2025 Ultimate Bet Aruba Classic', where this young Norwegian finished
on the 37th position. Later she took part in some European
tournaments, however, without success. She could not participate in tournaments
overseas because of her age. Then she won the main event in a very important
no-limit texas holdem tournament with entrance fee of 10.000 pounds in London and became the youngest player who
had been given the World Series of Poker bracelet! Her bankroll increased by
about two million dollars. When Annette mentioned that it was her first
'TV-table' the famous Annie Duke told to her: - Believe me, for sure it was not
the last one!
Duke wrote about Oberstad additionally on her
website, where she wrote: Annette_15 was the brightest star of WSOP Europe. She
won the main event, earning one-milion pounds. Not bad for an eighteen years
old, is it not? What can we expect in the future, if she is already so good? I
have never seen anybody with such a talent and a feeling for situation in a
game. Annette never looses her control in the game and has an impressive
instinct. In the tournament, she played against very good and experienced
players, but nobody knew how to manage with her brilliant strategy!
There is one fact in Annette career that is
worth mentioning. Before participating in the tournament in London, she won online tournament with 180
participants. What was so special
about it? She did not
look in her cards while playing it! "I wanted to demonstrate everybody that
something like this is possible" –Oberstad explains. I used to play like
this for the small stakes but then I decided to try it in multi-table games.
Playing this way teaches you how to read other players and how to use your
position in the game."
Let us come back to the real game. After her
success in London, Annette took another challenge, participating in the European Poker
Tour series. Nobody had to wait long for her another success-in the March
