Seven Card
Stud Poker is a kind of poker when the Texas Hold was not well known and
popular, and only some of the pofessinals knew it. It is related with Texas
Holdem – there are no joint cards, every player has got his own 7 cards, some
of them are known to the players.
7 Card Stud
W 7 Card
Stud there are 5 bidding rounds, there are only four in Texas Holdem and Omaha.
In this game instead of small and big blind you use the word 'ante', which
means entrance stake. The stake must be payed before the player gets his cards.
The amount of the stake depends on the table limits, but usually it is the
percentage of the lowest limit. There are no joint visiblecards in the middle of the table in this
game. All theplayers get two covered
cards and one open one. Everyone can see this card.
The player
with the lowest open card starts bidding by bring-in the compulsory stake.
The bidding
goes clockwise, starts with the player on the left from the player who did the
bring-in. Ever player has got three options, to fold, to call or to raise.
When all
the players brought-in same stakes they will receive nex open card / fourth
strit/. The bidding is started by the payer who has the best order of two open
cards. It goes clockwise. If two players have the same pair then the player
with the higher colour starts bidding. Then the player gets the fifth open card
/ fifth strit/ and the next round of bidding. After it is finished next card
goes to the player and hestarts the
bidding / fifth strit/. Last card dealt to the player is the seventh card, it
is unseen to other players and stays covered till the end of bidding. When the
bidding is finished the last player shows his order of five cards out of seven.
The winner is the person with the best order of five cards.
It is worth
to remember that 7 Card Stud is a kind of poker where in some of the situations
the colour is very important. The strongest one is spades, then hearts,
diamonds and clubs.
