Think before bidding and do not go in
senselessness
Online
playing is like playing against a bunch of hooded people with sunglasses. The
patterns of bidding, their talks, beaks, first hands, game positions and cards
beats will tell you muc more about them than you could have found out sitting
with them up the same table. It is much easier to win online tournament indeed,
you can watch everyone and you can get much more information than taking part
in the live tournament, you do not need brilliant memory to catch p with all
the details. The simplest solution – make notes.
If you are
not going to do anything at the moment, watch and study everything, then make
notes. And there are some important things to look at:
Every time
after hand write down the cards of the first player, his stakes and bids. Do
they play having only the good cards? Who bids having what? How high stakes go
havin a good cards? Who had bluffed? Which of the players always pretends
having the Ace on the flop? Which of the players have got too much testosteron?
Who never bids till the last position? Which of the players always beats to
steal the blinds and button? Who reserves big blinds? Who protects smal blinds?
With what result all of them are behave and build uptheir tokens? Who has not got too many of
them?
Making
notes about amount of tokens o the other players is a very important matter in
the tournament, but only playing online you can find out the exact amount of
tokens of every tounrnament player.
Your aim in
every poker tournament is to collect as big amount of tokens as possible, the
to play against the owners of less amount of tokens. You do not need good
either cards or lots of luck to collect the tokens. The only thing you have to
do are goodand agressive bids, not only sometimes but ALWAYS. You have to do it
more often then other good players. Do not try to win the tournament after the
first hand. Simply do not slow down having a chance o win the stake or the
tournament.
The only players who can pray for some luck are the ones with not
many tokens left, and all the blinds are consumed by most of the finances. You
will see that type of players will go all in and you can bid them with stake
with cards, not too god ones to bid somebody else / cards like jack/queen or
ace/ jack/. If somebody's all in bidis
really big, and you have got big blind or a really big sake, you can call in
with any two cards- of course if double of the stake did ot cause they are
'healthy'.
If you want
that someone to bid do the maximum bid you think he will go in.
If you want
someone to fold, do the bid for abnormal amount of money. If anyone will go all
in and you relise that he is better you can fold with your cards.
When you
play in the tournament, numbers/ stakes and possibility/ and your position are
much more important than your received cards. If you can try to identify all
the players, who wait for good cards, this is the group you can steal the
tokens from very easily. Just beat them with big blind and beat them again with
your next move after them and then bluff, if they did not manage to hit the
flop. Try to take care about a good image by the first table and every
following one too. It can be your bluffing licence.
Try to
guess what other players think about you. Who folds, when you beat again? Who
thinks that you are an agressive player? Can you bluff successfully? Who thinks
that you are the bluff person? Play agains this player only nuts.
During the
online tournaments watch the chat a bit but do not chat. One playersays to the
other one: 'you idiot, how can you bid with the queen and 10', then you will
find out that this type of player will never ever call in with the cards like
that, or he will have to swallow a big sip doing that. If someone cries with
the bad cards, which always win, then you know that the player thinks that good
hand should be continued, it is a kind of frustrationfor everyne who takes it.
Thebest hand is holded more often than
all the others but not much – especially when two people can see the flop.
You
need lots of notes about hands, people playing on the different positions, the
information about stakes, when and if they will go all in and when will they
beat again. If you can see their cards, make notes what cards they had at he
beginning. All of above will help you during the game. You will be really
pleased, when you join to the new tournament and you see that you know all
about the bluffing person on teh seat no 7 and agressive player on no 5. Then
you are leading with the other players. It is a good option when during the new
tournaments you will go o the new table. If you have any information about just
one player then you know much more then you would have known playing live
tournament.
Apart from
the notes there are many more priceless sources of information about the
players which you can use playing online. Use every available statistic on the
tournament. The lobby of the tournament, you can usually have it open during
the tournament. This is heaven's gift, you can watch what is going on duing the
whole tournament.
Have a look
at:
How many
players is still in the tournament?
What is the
average amount of tokens and how is your pile of tokens to all the rest of the
players?
Who leads
in the tournament?
Are the
tournament leaders collecting the tokens sistematically? Or maybe the have just
appeared from nowhere? / You can open another window and watch how are your
cardsdoing? Are the players relaxed or
stressed?Whic way do you think they got
the leading? The answer might inspire you, it can be helpful to go to the final
table playing against one of the current plaers/.
Who is
constantly in the top game?
How much
time before break?
When the
blinds are raising?
Let the
time to work fo you. Lokk at the clock. How far you are to make some money? Is
your pile of tokens big enough to let you pay? How many people is still in the
tournament? Have you got enough tokens to put the blind and use the players who
are afraid to lose the tokens? How high the prizes are? Are you happy with the
lower prize which probably will not be higher then your entry fee, is the third
place good enough for your ambitions? Considering all the questions above you
can make a decision how much risk you would like to take.
Some of the
poker websites will let you check your playing statistics. How do you play? Can
you last 12% of time to the flop or 45%?
You have to
remember that if you have lots of tokens you cannot count on luck. The players
with few tokens can onlycount on luck.
The players with lots of tokens play for big stakes not small. Try to play
good. Do only reasonable bids against the right players. Do not do stupid
calls. Try not to go at all unless you want to settle the trap having the best
cards. Carry on doing it til the game is finished, till the tournament is finished
and then you will get the prize.
Special
advice about re-buy tournaments.
Do not
enter into the tournament if you cannot afford to double your tokes with
re-buy, and after one hour using the add ons. You have to be prepared for at
least two re-buys. You have to know that in re-buy tournamentthe aim of every player is to finish the hour
with the highest amount of tokens than you can buy during re-buy and add-ons,
to be ahead of your opponents. Some of the re-buy tournaments players are crazy
and later on they act with the plan and rules, sometimes too much.
